Cookies and device storage
Your browser.
Your preferences.
What the Telegone website stores on your device and how to remove it.
Last updated: October 19, 2026.
Appearance preferences
We include no advertising pixels, behavioral analytics or marketing tracking SDK. After you change Appearance, the site saves System, Light or Dark in browser localStorage as telegone-site-theme. It reads the older telegram-wipe-site-theme value only when no newer preference exists.
These values contain your appearance choice and remain until you clear site data. LocalStorage is device storage rather than an HTTP cookie. Blocking it may prevent a preference from being remembered. The site still displays without a saved preference.
Hosting security
The production website is delivered through Cloudflare. Security features may set cookies, such as challenge clearance if a security challenge is presented. Their presence depends on the features active for that request; not every cookie in Cloudflare’s documentation is necessarily used here.
Read Cloudflare’s cookie descriptions for purposes and durations and our privacy notice for delivery data. External GitHub and Telegram links lead to services with their own policies.
Clear a choice
Select System to follow your device’s appearance. To remove saved values completely, clear this website’s stored data in your browser’s privacy or site settings. This resets website choices; it does not sign you out of the separate desktop app or delete Telegram messages.
Desktop sessions, encrypted cleanup journals, media cache and exported files are separate from website storage. See Privacy for their controls.
Future changes
We will update this notice if storage changes. Optional tracking that requires consent must remain off until the required choice is made. Today’s absence of analytics is not consent for future tracking.
