The art of a good goodbye
See it.
Keep it.
Or let it go.
You know your history better than any algorithm. Telegone gives you the room to make the call.
- 01
Find your starting point.
One conversation, a date window, or a few exact messages. Start small. Protected chats stay out of your cleanup.
- 02
Give it one more look.
See your message text and shared-photo previews. Uncheck the keepers. Review exactly which messages are in the plan.
- 03
Make it your decision.
Save a backup if you need one, read the scope, and type DELETE. A local receipt tells you what completed and what still needs attention.
The details matter
One plan. A clear boundary.
| Your choice | What goes into the plan | What stays out |
|---|---|---|
| Exact-message review | Only the messages you select, narrowed by your date and media filters. | Other messages and later arrivals. |
| Targeted cleanup | Your messages matching the chosen age/media settings. | Messages outside those rules and protected chats. |
| Whole private conversation | The frozen set of messages from both sides that Telegram returns. | New messages arriving after the plan is prepared. |
The audience is part of the decision.
The final review says whether deletion is requested for your view or for everyone. Telegram channel and supergroup deletion can affect everyone; Telegone refuses an incompatible local-only request instead of silently widening it.
A receipt, not a magic eraser.
Results distinguish requests Telegram acknowledged, requests with uncertain outcomes, and work not yet sent. Screenshots, forwards, downloads and independent backups are outside the cleanup.
